QSAM members enjoy being linked into Melbourne's GLBT sports and recreation community and receive a range of benefits, including:

- connection to individuals who contact us seeking information relevant to your sport

- discounted participation in QSAM's stall at Midsumma for the promotion of your sport
- access to membership benefits through QSAM's organisational memberships of the Federation of Gay Games and the Gay and Lesbian International Sports Association
Members are updated on coming international sporting events organised by GLISA (Gay and Lesbian International Sporting Association) and the Federation of Gay Games - such as the World Outgames in Copenhagen, 2009 and the Gay Games in Cologne, 2010.
QSAM co-ordinates uniforms for Victorian athletes travelling to these international events.
There are two types of members of QSAM: either individual or group members. A group member is a club or association. Group members hold 3 votes at the AGM whereas individuals hold 1 vote.
Annual fees: group membership $40 / individual membership $15. Membership is from 1st July to 30th June of each year.
